Week 3 New England Patriots Tickets Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The New England Patriots have been one of the best teams over the past decade+ on the gridiron and that has successfully translated into the box office.  Patriots tickets are some of the most sought after commodities in Boston and prices can be exorbitantly high, especially when a Manning comes to town. But sometimes, the stars align and you can grab tickets to see New England play for a reasonable price.

If the stars were ever to align this season, it’s happened for this week’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Currently, the get-in-the-door price is only $72 with an average ticket price of $179.  The next lowest get-in price for a game this season is $119 against Cleveland on December 8th, well into the frigid weather of the northeast (the average ticket price for that game is $290.)  In addition, over the past seven days, the average ticket price has tumbled 48%.  Ticket prices always decline as game time nears, but 48% is rather exceptional.

There are some other cheap price points as we sit 48 hours before game time.  The cheapest lower level seating right now is $149 for listings in Sections 116, 117, and 123, all located in the corner of the end zone.  Sideline lower level seating is a little more expensive, but not by much as you can sit in Section 128 for $165.

The Buccaneers are an out of conference opponent and don’t have the star power as a team such as the Saints, who will visit in a little more than three weeks.  And with other big games on the schedule (including a visit from the Denver Broncos and an aforementioned Manning,) fans seem to be holding onto their cash to spend on other games.  That makes this week’s matchup a huge bargain for those looking to head over to Gillette Stadium.
