Runningback Shane Vereen breaks a small bone in the wrist on his play in the game Sunday against the Bills, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Per GlazerVereen was able to play the entire game but concern grew afterwards because of the numbness in his wrist after the game because of the way the bone was sitting on the nerve.

Shane Vereen is having surgery today to repair his wrist and is expected to miss a few weeks.

Vereen produce in the run and pass game for the Patriots and had a huge helping hand in putting the Patriots in position for a winning field goal on a 15 yard run. It is a loss for New England but Stevan Ridley is the starter, and it becomes even more important for Ridley to hold onto the ball.

Patriots rookie tight end Zac Sudfeld is dealing with a pulled hamstring that puts his Thursday night game status in question, per NFL Media Insider,  Ian Rapoport.
