The New England Patriots have released Tim Tebow on the day of final cuts for the roster heading into the regular season.
In three preseason appearances Tebow was 11-for-30 passing with 145 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
The young 26-year-old, has had a short but eventful career in the NFL. His career had a full circle ending this June when the Patriots, the team who pounced on the magical Tebow led Broncos.
Tebow who has showed dedication and an excellent work ethic lacks the pure skill to be a quarterback in the National Football League. Belichick obviously found no true reason to have a third quarterback to his roster as Tebow would bring more media than help to the Patriots.
Tebow who has had short stints with the Broncos, Jets, and now the Patriots may never see another NFL field again. At least not behind the ball.
Tebow better start praying for another contract to fall in his lap (and maybe some actual football talent).
