Around the AFC East: Bills sign a former Heisman Winner, Dolphins trim their roster, and Jets lose a RB


Buffalo Bills – 

-The Bills have signed former Heisman winner, Matt Leinart to a contract. After losing Kevin Kolb to a potential career ending concussion, and EJ Manuel still out with a knee, Leinart fills an immediate need. Bills announced undrafted rookie QB, Jeff Tuel will start against the New England Patriots. That is their plan for now, but that could change, depending on how fast EJ can come back, and how well the new Quarterbacks perform. The Bills also traded with the Lions for QB Thad Lewis.

New York Jets – via Jets Gab

– The NFL announced RB Mike Goodson will be suspended for the first four games of the season. Andy Green has more on the Goodson situation here.  The Jets also signed former Packers QB Graham Harrell to a contract.

Dolphins Gab – via Dolphins Gab

– The Dolphins have begun making cuts to their roster, and they surprising cut former Bears Guard Lance Louis. More on other cuts here.
