Danny Amendola missed his first practice of training camp Monday, and Belichick said Amendola was “day to day.”
After Belichick’s press conference, the Patriots took the field for practice and Amendola was missing again.
Amendola was hit in the back of the head on his final reception of Friday’s game against the Buccaneers, but return two plays later where he was the intended target on Brady’s final attempt of the night.
Amendola has struggled with injuries in the past, played in just 12 games over the past two seasons. He signed a 5-year, $31 million contract in March to be the Patriots new starting slot WR.
I don’t think it is anything serious, and I think the Patriots are just being more cautious than anything because they know they need this guy for the season.
