UFC President Dana White wasn’t happy about Boston City Council President Steve Murphy comments on UFC holding an event in Boston on Saturday.

White responded to comments that UFC was too violent and needed to be prohibited to anyone under 18.

“[W]hen people ask me about it, I’m like, ‘Wait a minute. We’re in Boston, aren’t we?” White told MMAJunkie.com on Friday, via Pro Football Talk. “Don’t the Patriots play here? F—ing Aaron Hernandez just murdered somebody and possibly murdered two other people. Are the Patriots going to get chased out of town now?”

The UFC Fight Night took place at the TD Garden in Boston and drew an audience of 12,539 to watch live.

It was a big night for UFC, being the prime time launch programming for the new Fox Sports 1 Network.

The difference here is that the violence is PART of the UFC sport and the murders are NOT part of football. DUH.
