The Patriots completed their 2nd game of the preseason.

They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tonight, 25-21, making Patriots 2-0 this preseason, and Tampa Bay goes to 0-2.

Tom Brady return two days after a knee scare in practice, and you would think nothing happen. Brady was on fire tonight, not throwing a single incompletion in the first series. Brady went 11-11 before his first incompletion even happen. Brady was hitting Amendola on almost every pass tonight, you’d think these two have been playing catch for 5 seasons with their chemistry. Brady threw a beautiful touchdown pass to Danny Amendola 26 yards out. The Patriots went for two, and converted. Brady threw to rookie tight end Zac Sudfeld in the back of the endzone, and Sudfeld went up and made a great catch between two defenders, out muscling them.

Zac Sudfeld had a good night, catching Brady’s 2 point conversion, and then a TD pass from Ryan Mallett. Mallett’s pass was deflected but Sudfeld showed great concentration to snag it for the catch.

The defense had a strong showing tonight as well. They racked up 4 sacks in the first 3 series of the game. Chandler Jones had a sack, Brandon Spikes had two, and then Ninkovich got himself one as well. Chandler Jones had a good night, being credited for 2 tackles for loss along with his 1sack. The Patriots focused on pressure tonight and it paid off. Logan Ryan, the rookie corner, had an interception he ran back for a TD.

Patriots 3rd preseason game will be at Detroit against the Lions. 7:30 is the scheduled time for that game.
