The Patriots have completed day 9 of camp. It was a light work load day, and a short practice session as the team readies to hold joint practices with the Eagles in Philly. The Patriots mostly worked on clock management, hail marry passes, and things that don’t come up much through out the season.

Recap:

The Quarterbacks: Tom Brady was dropping in some beautiful touchdown passes today to the rookies. He threw a great ball to Dobson, Sudfeld, and Aikens. Tight End Sudfeld actually caught a hail mary pass from Brady today. Tom Brady scored a TD on a QB Draw. Ryan Mallett under threw a few passes, and has struggled with accuaracy through out camp, and today. He did have a few nice throws though. Tim Tebow mostly worked with the 3rd team and did 11 on 11 drills. He had an interception by Arrington on a throw for Jonathan Haggerty, but Haggerty tapped his chest a few times afterwards indicating he had ran the wrong route. Tebow threw an interception later on to Logan Ryan who made the play on a screen pass. Tebow made a few good throws, but not his best day. Tebow did not work too much at practice today but did stay 20 mins after to continue working on his throwing.

The Wide Receivers: Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson, and Kenbrell Thompkins keep impressing in camp this year. Dobson made a great leaping catch for a TD on a throw by Brady. Dobson went up and caught the ball at its highest point.

The Tight Ends: Zac Sudfeld continues to get a lot of reps with the first team, but all the tight ends today was able to get reps with first team.  Sudfeld had a few drops but ended practice with a couple of great catches. Right now, Daniel Fells looks like the best tight end out there, and if he continues to perform well into the season he will probably be the starter until the return of Gronk.

The Defense: Duron Harmon seem to be battling Tavon Wilson for the second string spot at safety. Duron Harmon has been emerging with a good camp so far. McCourty was back at safety the entire time today.

The Punters: Still a tight battle between Mesko and Allen. Allen will really have to impress to take the job from Mesko, but so far he has been that impressive.

Next practice is Tuesday 12:30 p.m. in Philadelphia.
