Rob Gronkowski takes part in “Kids Cancer Buzz Off”

Patriots tight-end Rob Gronkowski took part in “Kids Cancer Buzz Off” for a nonprofit organization One Mission.

Gronkowski joined 867 men, women, and children as they buzzed their hair in solidarity and support for those courageously fighting pediatric cancer, all to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital. Through their efforts they were able to raise nearly 1 million dollars for the cause.

This is the 3rd year Gronkowski was involved with the event, Gronkowski had his hair buzzed and also buzzed the hair of a few participants. Gronkowski on the event, “You couldn’t ask for a better outcome. The growth is unbelievable. Look how many people are here this year. I can’t even imagine how much more it’s going to grow in the years to come because it’s such a great event and everyone is having a blast.”

From their website:

One Mission is a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to enhancing the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families. We are a tax exempt public charitable foundation that provides help, hope, care, and support to children and their families touched by pediatric cancer. One Mission funds patient and family support services, cutting-edge cancer research, and programs and services that help children and their families cope with the many physical, emotional and financial challenges associated with this disease.

Also One Mission is the largest community supporter of Boston Children’s Hospital, graciously funds over 60% of the programs and services offered in the resource room of the Hospital’s pediatric oncology floor including hosting activities such as yoga, arts & crafts therapy, spa days and game nights for its patients. One Mission also provides financial assistance to families who have a child battling cancer.

One Mission is a beautiful foundation whose sole purpose is to help the ones effected by pediatric cancer and their families. One Mission just had their annual “Kids Cancer Buzz Off” with Rob Gronkowski. They will be having an upcoming event with Hyannis Tuna Fest in Cape Cod.  The Fest will be hosting a silent auction for the foundation. The event will take place June 20-22. I have been on a ‘natural high’ since I took part in this worthy fundraiser. I am a two time cancer survivor and a first time “Buzz Off” participant. This was one of the best experiences of my life! Thank you for all you do! I will be back to do this again 🙂
