Patriots release DL Kyle Love

The New England Patriots have informed defensive lineman Kyle Love of his release with a non-football injury designation. He was diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes.  Love made the club as a rookie free agent in 2010 and out performed the 2009 2nd round pick (Ron Brace), increasing his workload his second year.  In August of 2012, the Patriots and Love reached a two-year contract extension with a $500,000 signing bonus and Love was a big part of the defense, but toward the end of the season began losing playing time to former teammate Brandon Deaderick.
