Miami Dolphins re-sign WR Brian Hartline and QB Matt Moore

Dolphins re-sign WR Brian Hartline to a 5 year 30.8 million dollars deal with 12.5 million guarantee. Hartline who is 6’2 and 119 pounds caught 74 passes for 1,083 yards, and 1 TD pass. If you ask me, The Dolphins overpaid for Hartline, who is at best, an average WR. In four seasons, Hartline has only 6 career touchdowns. To give him the benefit of doubt, he is playing with a young, average QB. The Dolphins are going to pursue WR Mike Wallace, and they will be willing to give him a ton of money, but they won’t get the production back from Wallace, not unless you have a good QB, but they don’t. If Wallace is smart he will stay away from the Dolphins.

Dolphins re-sign QB Matt Moore to a 2 year deal worth 8 million dollars. That is a lot of dollars for a backup QB. Ryan Tannehill is a rookie QB, and the Dolphins starter, a starter for what they hope will be a long time. The Dolphins didn’t want to lose Moore however, and that is why they paid, actually over paid, Matt Moore to stay. The Dolphins are definitely paying players, right now it is their own players, but look for them to be players in this free agency.
