Former Steelers LB James Harrison would like to play with Tom Brady

James Harrison, linebacker for the Steelers was released by the team today. ESPN asked Harrison if he would like to play for the Patriots, Harrison’s response: “Of course it would be nice to play with Tom Brady,” I mean, who wouldn’t want to?” He also went on to say, he is willing to play for anyone. James Harrison played in a 3-4 defense, and New England has been running a 4-3(although from game to game they will and can run anything) but the Patriots could still use James Harrison’s services . The Patriots had DE Chandler Jones and Rob Ninkovich pass rushing from stand up roles, which would be perfect for James Harrison. He would only be asked to rush the QB for the Patriots, and they need that considering they simply do not put pressure on Quarterbacks in the league. James Harrison is still one of the meanest linebackers in the NFL, still plays rough, with hard hits out there, and hates Quarterbacks, and the Patriots defense could use a player like that. The defense would benefit from Harrison’s aggressiveness, roughness, toughness, and hard hits, and he still has the ability to scare the opposing teams Quarterbacks. Unless Harrison is willing to take a huge paycut, I don’t see him playing for New England.

Great story! Really good match too, for the fact, the only reason he is leaving Pittsburgh is because they didn’t want to compensate him, and the only reason players leave New Engalnd is because they aren’t compensated.
