New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Patriots will offer 5 million for Ed Reed

It is being reported that the Patriots will try to lock up Ed Reed with an offer of 5 million a season.

I have always thought the team that offers the safety a two year deal with a decent amount of money will land him, and New England seems like they will do both for the veteran safety. New England will pursue Ed Reed hard, and offer him a big amount, the only team that might give the Patriots a run for their money is the Colts. They want Reed too, and Head coach Chuck Pagano was Reed’s defensive coordinator and secondary coach in Baltimore for four seasons. Reed is at the age though, he might prefer to go to a team that is Super Bowl ready rather than to a team that is rebuilding.
