The three year 27 million dollars extension Tom Brady signed with New England will make Brady a Patriot for the remainder of his career and as an added bonus it frees up cap space.
The contract extension will keep Tom Brady a Patriot through the 2017 season when Brady will be 40 years old. The extension will pay Brady a $3 million signing bonus immediately, in addition to salaries of $7 million in 2015, $8 million in 2016 and $9 million in 2017. Tom Brady was due a 43.6 million in the 2013 and 2014 cap space. Now he will only earn 28.6 million in the 2013 and 2014 off season era for New England. It will save the Patriots 15 million dollars in cap space, a much needed relief for the Patriots.
