The first meeting of the 2012 season between the Jets and Patriots was one for the ages. It was a classic game between the two hated rivals, that came down to very end. The very sweet, sweet end. The Patriots blew a ten point lead in the 4th, but kicked a field goal to send the game to over time, and connected once more on a field goal in over time. The defense didn’t allow the Jets the same opportunity to score, at all. Rob Ninkovich strip-sack Mark Sanchez, and recovered the fumble he had caused. It was a thing of beauty for all Patriots fan watching around the world. It was a play that defined the season for both the Jets and the Patriots. The Jets offense continued to be horrible, and a turn over machine, actually getting worse, while New England’s defense continued being the best at take aways, especially in key moments. Both teams went in different directions, Jets became worse, and the Patriots became better.
