Tim Tebow will seek a release or trade from the New York Jets after the season ends. I can’t envision why the Jets would keep him after this past season of misusing Tebow in every way, they at least owe him that much. Most likely they will release Tebow because I don’t think a team out there will trade for Tebow at the Jets asking price.
My opinion is there will a few teams who will go after Tebow and anybody who will say other wise is clinically insane. Let’s forget the fact he’s a media sensation, seat filler, and a money maker for any team but teams are always desperate in the NFL for a QB. Most will look to the draft and to free agency to fill their need at QB, for example, Alex Smith and Matt Flynn may be available for QB starve teams while the draft will offer up Qbs like USC’s Matt Barkley and Arkansas’s Tyler Wilson, but rest to sure they will be teams for Tebow. A spot Tebow could go to is the Philadelphia Eagles. Chip Kelly might be their next head coach and his system is perfect for Tebow, and if Tebow wants on the field as a starter as quickly as possible h,e will take his talents there, regardless if Vick is there due to Vick’s ability to get injured frequently. The Cleveland Browns might be the number one team if Josh McDaniels gets the head coaching job there. If Brandon Weeden continues to struggle next season then McDaniels will look to right his wrong that got him fired in Denver, and that is not playing Tebow soon enough. The Browns could execute the ground and pound game with success with Trent Richardson and Tim Tebow, of course, current New England’s back up QB Ryan Mallett might head to Cleveland with McDaniels. The St. Louis Rams were interested in trading for Tebow last season in Jeff Fisher’s first year as head coach of the Rams. Shows you how much confidence he had in Bradford going into the job and I don’t think Bradford has done anything to change Fisher’s mind. Fisher and Tebow would be a great fit together, and Fisher is the ideal coach for QB Tebow.
The other team is the New England Patriots. They have been asides from Jacksonville the constant team interested in Tebow. Rumors say in the draft the Patriots was aiming to use one of their picks on him, and when Tebow was being traded by Denver last season the New England Patriots were mentioned as one of the teams interested in the QB. New England might try to trade back up QB Ryan Mallett for more draft picks in the 2013 draft since they only have five. They might get good trade vaule for the QB considering the 2013 draft isn’t deep on potential great Qbs. If they trade Mallett that would leave the Patriots with needing a backup QB and Belichick’s idea guy is Tim Tebow. Belichick has always praised Tebow’s ability, has always loved the guy, and Tebow is a Belichick player. Belichick and Brady can develop Tebow into an NFL QB because Tebow wants to learn, and has the it factor to make it as a great QB. Patriots Nation can say what they want about Tebow, but if Belichick loves the guy then you should stop and think that Tebow might make a great back up to Brady.
