The hero of last year’s AFC Championship game vs the Ravens cornerback Sterling Moore has left the Patriots practice squad to head to the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys went for Moore due to injuries plaguing their back field with cornerback Orlando Scandrick and safety Charlie Peprah will miss a few weeks between them. Scandrick is expected to miss 6-8 weeks to recover from hand surgery while Peprah is expected to miss 2-3 weeks dealing with a foot injury. Sterling Moore at 5’10 and 200 pounds had 12 tackles, one pass deflection, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery before he was cut in October by the Patriots. Sterling Moore will be returning to Dallas to play football since he played college ball at Southern Methodist University (SMU) which is located in Dallas.
