The week 11 of the NFL is upon us. On the eve of game day I’ll make some of my predictions. I got 9 right last week. With the exception of that tie between the Rams and 49ners.
Browns vs Cowboys: Winner Cowboys.
This will probably be a low scoring game. The Browns defense isn’t half bad. The Cowboys offense can be scatter brain like. But I don’t see the Browns offense making enough plays to get a big win.
Buccaneers vs Panthers: Winner Buccaneers.
This might be a shoot out. If it is look for Tampa Bay to win it. They have bigger and better weapons. They have pretty much been in a shoot out all season and winning a lot of those type games. The Panthers haven’t shown yet they can score a lot of points anyways.
Bengals vs Chiefs: Winner Bengals.
World’s easy game to pick! Bengals surprised me last week and made the plays to win the game. Dalton and A.J. Green did big things in that game. This should be a big game for the dynamic young duo. And no I don’t think it will be close.
Packers vs Lions: Winner Packers.
I’m not picking against the Packers. Definitely not picking against them when they are playing the Detroit Lions. They lost to the Vikings and even managed to make them look good. So no I don’t think they are winning this game.
Jaguars vs Texans: Winner Texans.
Actually I’m going upset special with this one. Just kidding! Texans win easily. It may not be a blow out but Jacksonville has a lot of problems. The Texans are very good and should win.
Jets vs Rams: Winner Rams.
The Rams have a good defense. The Jets offense is struggling. The biggest key for the Rams to win is not turning it over. The Jets can and will score on turnovers and win like that. If you make the Jets offense drive the length of the field consistently they won’t put up much points. If Bradford can protect the ball and Jackson has another huge game the Rams should win in a low scoring matchup.
Eagles vs Redskins: Winner Eagles.
That pick might be surprising. RG3 has been good this season. But I have liked Nick Foles since college to now. The Redskins have one of the worst defenses especially against the pass in the NFL. Foles may get to show off that arm a lot in this game. The Eagles have weapons for the rookie to use too. Mccoy, Jackson, and even Cooper. Foles plays smart should score enough to get that W against the skins.
Cardinals vs Falcons: Winner Falcons.
Falcons should bounce back after their loss to the Saints last week. The Cardinals don’t have that kind of offense. The defense for the Cardinals is sound but Atlanta should get a win.
Saints vs Raiders: Winner Saints.
Some people might think this will be a shoot out. I don’t. I fully expect it to be one sided. Brees should have a monster day going against a very bad Raiders defense. The Raiders are just a bad team on offense and defense. I think Saints defense has been playing a tad bit better. Are they good? No. Better? A little bit. Palmer makes mistakes. The running game hasn’t been there much at all this season. The Raiders can throw a lot but the Saints win.
Chargers vs Broncos: Winner Broncos.
This is kind of a toss up. But Rivers has warrant no trust in him to beat Peyton Manning. The Broncos scored only twice vs the Panthers. A worse team then the Chargers. But Rivers is turnover prone and Manning is Manning.
Colts vs Patriots: Winner Patriots.
Usually rookies don’t do good against a Belichick team. This defense has already made rookie qb Wilson for the Seahawks look good. But the Patriots defense may have improved with Aqib Talib coming in to player corner for a needing secondary. With that I think they show they have improved and the offense should run or pass all over the Colts defense to a win.
Ravens vs Steelers: Winner Ravens.
I would have picked Steelers if Big Ben was playing. He is not and there is no way I’m picking Leftwich to win this game. Against the Ravens defense no way. Yes the Ravens defense gives up a lot of passing yards but its Leftwich. They will be fine in this game and Ravens should get a big win.
Bears vs 49ners: Winner 49ners.
Its all because Cutler isn’t playing. Even if he was I probably would have picked the 49ners anyways. The Bears offensive line is bad. Campbell is really bad. He can be a solid ok qb but against a very good defense? We saw that last Sunday night and it was not pretty. So against this great defense I don’t expect things to be much different. Regardless if Alex Smith plays or not the 49ners will win. They have the better backup qb. I love the backup for the 49ners Colin Kaepernick. He looked really good against the Rams last week. I actually think he might even run the offense better then Smith vs great defenses. But hey Alex Smith has been pretty darn good. Either one the 49ners get a big win.
