New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Where have all the good defensive backs gone?

Certainly not to New England. The deep passes did the Patriots defense in. In the Denver game they were deep passes completed in that game. Deep passes connected in the Ravens game. Deep passes cost the Patriots in the Seahawks game.

If the Patriots pass rush does not get to the QB most likely its going to be a completed pass.  The secondary for New England is really bad. I think the Patriots defense over all has improved from last season. The defensive backs not so much.

Mccourty made some good tackles in the game versus the Seahawks. I think he should make the move to safety permanent. He has played tight coverage all season but has made some awful pass interference calls this season. On more then one occasion he neglected to look back for the ball and ran all over the wide out and drew the yellow flag from the referees. None more devastating then the one he drew against the Ravens.  Mccourty on deep routes doesn’t look for the ball and is constantly out jumped for the ball.

A lot of people seem to like Kyle Arrington. I’am not a fan of his. I have noticed a lot of times he is constantly off the receiver and beaten a lot over the course of this season. Today was no different. He’s not the best coverage player. Not even a good one.

The defensive line for the Patriots is good. Thanks in large part to the rookie Jones and the veteran Wilfork. The linebackers are great. It is the secondary that is killing the Patriots in games.  Their inability to play coverage and be excellent in pass defending is hurting the Patriots.

The Patriots offense should know if you keep putting this defense out their to win you games expect more of the same result as today. The Patriots offense needs to finish teams when they have the chance and keep their defense off the field and out of game winning situations.

Losing a game like this one hurts. The Patriots had to have thought they were in control of the game to only blow a lead and loss on a touchdown pass to a rookie QB. This was a win that slipped away by the Patriots offense not putting away the Seahawks. The Patriots almost did the same thing with Denver. They were close to blowing a lead against Denver. The Patriots need to learn to finish teams off. It finally came back to bite them today. Maybe losing this game has taught them that lesson.

Glad you notice man. I feel bad for Tom Brady has to do everything for this team. It’s fucking pissing me off how shit The secondary is losing to a rookie QB.

Let’s add the inconsistency of the offensive line. Yes, the defensive backs look out played a lot, too. But, let’s call a spade a spade. Since 2008 the patriots game plan is to get as many points as possible and hope the defense doesn’t lose to lead. Unfortunately, relying on the other team to make mistakes. Tom Brady is great when he gets 10 minutes in the pocket, but, rush him and wear down the offensive line, he’s. Not so great, overthrowing his receivers, etc…
