The Boston Herald reports that the Pats will be bringing back LB Bobby Carpenter.
Looks like the Patriots are bringing in reinforcements to shore up their linebacking corps just in case Dont’a Hightower, who suffered a hamstring injury Sunday, is unable to go against the Broncos.
According to CSNNE.com’s Tom Curran, the Patriots are expected to re-sign Bobby Carpenter.
The linebacker was with the team during the offseason and training camp after signing a free agent contract in April. He was a surprise slash on the final cutdown day given he had played pretty well through camp and in the preseason games he appeared.
Hightower suffered the hamstring injury early in Sunday’s game against Buffalo while sacking quarterback Mark Fitzpatrick.
