Pats Have Reported Interest in Free Agent Safety Yeremiah Bell

There’s a couple teams that have their eyes on free agent safety Yeremiah Bell, among them the Eagles, Jets and Patriots.

Bell’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, talked about Bell during a TV visit on WSVN in Miami.

Bell was released by the Dolphins back on March 19th. At that time, Rosenhaus said that the door could be open for a possible return, but that appeared to have closed as the club signed free agent Tyrell Johnson last week.

Izzy Gould of the Sun-Sentinel noted that Rosenhaus also referred to client Jimmy Wilson, who played cornerback as a rookie last season, as a free safety during his appearance.

Bell, 34, has spent his entire nine-year career with the Dolphins, who selected him in the sixth-round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Eastern Kentucky. In 110 games, Bell has 560 tackles, 11 sacks, six interceptions and 43 passes defensed. Bell has led the Dolphins in tackles in each of the last four seasons and was named to the 2009 AFC Pro Bowl roster.
