Woodhead Escapes Major Ankle Damage

Patriots RB Danny Woodhead suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday’s game against the Raiders, hopping off the field on one leg after his second carry. Woodhead was not seen afterward, and details have been minimal.

Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports Woodhead escaped major damage on his ankle, and there is no broken bone or torn ligament. It is a sprain. It’s just not clear how bad it is or whether he’ll miss Sunday’s game against the Jets.
