WR Price Hoping for an Increased Role in the Offense in 2011

According to ESPN.com, WR Taylor Price hopes to make an impact this season. The report says the 2010 third-round draft choice runs well, has solid hands, and good size (6-foot, 205 pounds). Last year, Price was active for just the regular-season finale (three catches, 41 yards).

The hope this year is that he breaks through with more consistent playing time. “It was basically a red-shirt year,” Price said. “I’m just trying to take everything I learned, in the classroom and on the field, and work on my craft and get into the system and really be a player [in 2011]. I just want to be the best player I can possibly be, so whenever we get back to work, my body is ready to go and I can play right away.”

The Patriots return their entire receiving corps from last season, with Deion Branch, Wes Welker, Brandon Tate and Julian Edelman topping the depth chart.
