New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Brady Named the 2nd Most Influential Athlete in the Country

Forbes Magazine has named Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady the second-most influential athlete in the country.

“Steady as she goes, Brady’s talent and work ethic keep him consistently near the top, even as one of the few to hit double digits on the “dislike” meter,” Forbes writes. Brady is a new addition to the Forbes Top-10 list after being named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 2010.

The only other NFL name on the list is Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, who is ranked 7th.

Before player and owners start assuming that the NFL is the No.1 sport in America and the game is indispensable to fans, consider this: the most influential athlete in the country according to Forbes in NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.
