TE Hernandez Has Offseason Hip Surgery

TE Aaron Hernandez had offseason hip surgery according to the Hartford Courant. Hernandez was asked by the kids at a high school what happened to his leg because he’s on crutches.

This first season he caught 45 passes for 563 yards and six touchdowns, but was bothered by the right hip injury during the Patriots’ playoff defeat to the New York Jets.

He’s looking to get better.

“You’ve always got to make changes,” Hernandez said. “You can’t be the same player two years in a row. You’ve got to be better every year, and there will be something that the coaches will tell me I need to work on, so I’ll make sure to get it done.”
