Belichick Says First Two Pats-Jets Games Mean Little

Pats coach Bill Belichick and Jets coach Rex Ryan are due to do quite a bit of verbal sparring this week as the two get ready for the biggest game of the season Sunday afternoon.

In the meantime, Belichick has thrown the first two games out. He says that the Jets win in week two and Pats 45-3 win much later in the season, mean little now as the divisional game approaches.

“I don’t think the last game or even the first game, either one of those games is going to mean a whole lot,” Belichick said. “I don’t think some game in December or some game in September or some game in October (is) going to have too much bearing on it. I think what happens between now and kickoff and how the teams perform once the game starts.”
