Pats Suspend 7th Round Pick DL Brandon Deaderick

The Pats have suspended 7th round pick rookie defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick, according to a source close to the situation. Deaderick, a seventh-round draft choice out of Alabama, dressed for 10 games this season (four starts). Coaches credited him with 17 tackles and he had two sacks. If you bet on the NFL, you know this isn’t a good sign for him to be around much in a Pats uniform.

Deaderick’s playing time had tailed off considerably since November 25th at Detroit, when he was inactive after a stretch of seven games in which he dressed. Entering the postseason, he projected as a backup adding depth along a defensive line that has been hit with injuries.
