According to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald, the Patriots have released Shawn Crable. The 2008 third-round pick, who had a half a sack in the win over the Steelers. He played in six games and had four tackles and a sack.
Crable was released before camp because he failed a physical, making one think his promising career was over. Then, he was re-signed to the practice squad, then promoted.
