Taylor, Edelman set to play against New York

Second-year receiver Julian Edelman (foot) and veteran running back Fred Taylor (toe) were both present for the start of Thursday’s full-pads practice.

With Edelman practicing for the second day in a row, and speaking with reporters earlier in the day, the signs are pointing to him being active for Sunday’s game against the Jets after missing the season-opener.

Edelman did not give any hints if he would be ready to go for Sunday’s game against the Jets, but all signs point to him suiting up for Sunday’s game against the division rival New York Jets on the road.

“That’s always the coach’s and trainer’s decision,” said Edelman in the locker room on Thursday. “I don’t even think I’m allowed to talk about injuries.”

Meanwhile, Taylor’s toe injury, which came to light Wednesday following the trade of backup running back Laurence Maroney, and limited his participation in practice, doesn’t appear to be too serious.

On the Jets’ side of the ledger, the big news was that cornerback Darrelle Revis was limited with a tight hamstring Thursday.
