Patriots try out a couple WR’s, a QB

The National Football Post reports that the Pats tried out a couple wide outs this week, as well as a QB:

The New England Patriots’ personnel department is keeping their emergency lists ready, auditioning several players earlier this week.

According to a league source with knowledge of the situation, the Patriots tried out wide receivers Lance Long, Paul Williams and Kenneth Moore. They also tried out quarterback Keith Null, offensive guard Thomas Austin and punters Hunter Smith and T.J. Conley. None of the players was signed, though.
