Edelman, Maroney questionable for Sunday

The New England Patriots released their injury report for the regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday, among those listed as questionable are wide receiver Julian Edelman and running back Laurence Maroney. Edelman, who returned to practice Thursday for the first time since injuring his foot Aug. 19, was limited in both Thursday and Friday workouts. Maroney, was also limited in practice this week, dealing with a foot injury. The only notable names who will not play are offensive lineman Nick Kaczur and cornerback Terrence Wheatley.

WR Matthew Slater (hamstring)

For the Bengals, cornerback Brandon Ghee (head) is doubtful; receiver Andre Caldwell (groin) and fullback Brian Leonard (foot) are questionable; and defensive linemen Geno Atkins (knee) and Jonathan Fanene (hamstring) are probable.
