Pats ink former Seaahwks QB Mike Teel

The Pats have a new backup QB on the roster, as the National Football Post reports the team has signed former Seahawks QB Mike Teel:

The New England Patriots have claimed former Rutgers quarterback Mike Teel off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks. “Hello New England,” Teel posted on his Twitter account. The Seahawks replaced Teel on the roster with J.P. Losman.

Teel, 24, is a former Seattle Seahawks sixth-round draft pick. He has yet to play in an NFL regular-season game. Besides starter Tom Brady and Teel, the Patriots have Brian Hoyer and Zac Robinson on the quarterback depth chart. The Patriots have cut tight end Robbie Agnone and quarterback Jeff Rowe, two former practice squad players.
