Wilfork Wants Johnson as the Teams New Defensive Coordinator

Sporting News reports that at least one current Pat wants Pepper Johnson to be the teams new defensive coordinator:

Bill Belichick hasn’t filled the Patriots’ vacant defensive coordinator job, but free-agent nose tackle Vince Wilfork is lobbying for defensive line coach Pepper Johnson to be promoted.

“Playing under him, I want to see him as coordinator, I think he deserves it,” Wilfork told ESPN. “He has all the tools to be one. I like a coach who looks you in the face and lets you know how he feels about you. There is no beating around the bush. He has a lot of respect from me as a coach and as a person.” …
