Report Says Welker Suffers a Torn ACL in Knee

Adam Schefter, of ESPN, reports initial tests indicate WR Wes Welker suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee in Week 17. Welker will undergo additional tests Monday, to confirm the initial tests. It’s almost a for sure he won’t be able to play Sunday vs the Ravens.

    Losing Wes Welker is a huge, huge blow to the Patriots. Someone needs to step up. This injury could cost the team their season because Welker is a safety net for QB Tom Brady.
