The Boston Herald reports that Tom Brady has been named as the teams winner of the Ed Block Courage Award:
The quarterback was named as his team’s Ed Block Courage Award winner, an honor handed out via a player vote. Brady, who missed most of last season because of torn knee ligaments sustained in the first quarter of the first game, is back. The award ceremony is held in March, and the recipients will be announced next week. “Like all of us, I’ve battled some adversities and all of my teammates have too,” Brady said this week. “It’s really just part of what this profession is. A lot of it is being mentally tough and bouncing back from things that don’t necessarily go our way.”
