Posted in The Boston Globe reports that second-year LB Jerod Mayo has been named as a captain heading into the preseason.
Patriots LB Jerod Mayo was a quick study as a rookie, starting all 16 games at inside linebacker, leading the Patriots in tackles, and winning the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Now, he’s a captain, at least in the preseason.Mayo was named a preseason captain, along with QB Tom Brady (offense) and wide receiver Sam Aiken (special teams).
