Posted in The Patriots today re-signed defensive lineman Kenny Smith. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 31-year-old Smith has not played a game in the NFL since 2003. He was on the Saints roster for 2004 and Oakland for 2005, but did not appear in any games.
He signed with the Patriots last April, but spent the entire 2008 campaign on injured reserve with an arm injury.
In 30 career games in the NFL, all with New Orleans, he has 69 tackles, 4 1/2 sacks, two fumble recoveries and two passes defensed.
