Today’s Providence Journal reports that West Virgina QB/WR Pat White may be a bit too short for the teams liking. Here’s the story:
Pat White impressed at the Combine when he worked out as a quarterback, but at just 6 feet tall, he’s a little undersized to see over the heads of NFL offensive linemen. White reportedly had a private workout with the Patriots in which he did receiver drills, and he’s said he’s open to playing other positions. Because of the Dolphins’ success with the Wildcat and White’s versatility and athleticism, the feeling is that he may be drafted higher because he could run those gadget plays — and throw better than Miami’s Ronnie Brown.

I reside in West virginia and I am a mountaineer fan. I have watched Pat White play and win at West Virginia for the past four seasons. White’s actual height is 6’1 1/4 and he weighs in at around 200-205. White’s speed and athletic skills often times over shadow him strong throwing arm. White has beaten the (according to the expert) best teams in the past years. ex: Georgia, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia Tech, South Florida, Auburn etc. etc.White has the measurable skills that make him look great on paper, but his immeasurable skills like pocket presence, calmness under pressure, attitude, cannot be measured. Trust me, where ever White ends up, he will help that team to win.
