Pats Want West Virgina’s White as a WR; Not a QB

The Boston Herald reports that the Pats recently worked out West Virgina QB Pat White, but are more looking at him as a wide out, which is where most teams want him. White says he wants to play for the Steelers, but they have more pressing needs than a WR or backup QB. Here is the tidbit from White from the Herald.

The Pats worked Pat White out primarily as a receiver, which is where most teams have him projected in the NFL. White’s impressive showing at the combine, however, has other teams considering him at quarterback. The Pats also had him go through the QB paces during the private workout.
