Pats to open the Season Against T.O. and the Bills

In the first “schedule leak” of the 2009 NFL season, the Patriots are set to take on the Bills in the September 14th double header of Monday Night Football. The game is at Gillette and is at 7 PM. New England will surely look to shutdown Terrell Owens and welcome Tom Brady home by airing out the ball to newly acquired receivers Joey Galloway and Greg Lewis.

This will be an awesome game to watch as the theme of “Owens VS. Moss” will surely be played out by the press in the week prior to the game. Look for new corners Shawn Springs and Leigh Bodden to try their hands at guarding Owens (also look for Springs to cover Owens while his safety help is Bodden over the top). Springs has a lot of experience guarding Owens as the two played in the same division for two seasons.

Despite Owens, the Patriots will most assuredly come out of the game with a win (home, return of Tom Brady, Monday Night Football, season opener. Enough said). This will be a great chance for Patriots fans to see all the talent picked up during the offseason and to welcome back one of the greatest quarterbacks in the game.
