Appearing on WEEI’s Dennis and Callahan show this morning, Adam Schefter, of the NFL network and NFL.com, shot down a report from a colleague at NFL.com that the Patriots were set to acquire Julius Peppers through a trade with the Carolina Panthers. Citing that the Patriots would not “break the bank” to sign Peppers to a long-term deal, Schefter pledged that he’s:
“99.9% sure Peppers will not be in a Patriots’ uniform next year.”

too bad we’ll miss out on Peppers. Would have loved to see him play for the Pats
We’re going to miss Peppers.
I wasn’t sold on him being a huge success as an outside linebacker. He’s in the mold of Adalius Thomas, who hasn’t excelled in Belichick’s system.
