Patriots Sign CB Leigh Bodden

It looks like the Patriots have added another free-agent corner to their roster. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but it appears to be a one-year deal with payout unknown. Although Bodden has been bounced around quite a bit, his talent as a DB can’t really be questioned. Yes, he did have a down year in Detroit, but the last I checked they went 0-16 so a lot of people had down years. I don’t think that too many people blamed Moss for putting up awful numbers while in Oakland.

With the second signing in the past several days one can rest assured that the Patriots probably won’t be looking towards a D.J. Moore-type in the draft. With three, solid corners and a couple of 2nd year players who are starting to come into their own, the Patriots are finally secure at the position. Hopefully, plugging in two pretty decent corners will fill the void of one who was outstanding.

I’km glad to see the Pats taking that step to helping the secondary It’s a need that has to be filled if we want to seriously get to the big game.

On another subject I’m sad to see Larry Izzo go especially to the Jets. He is an amazing player, but don’t get it twisted he now plays for the dark side see ya on the field Larry and good luck to you.
