New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Pats Move LB Mike Vrabel to Kansas City

The Pats were busy today, signing two players, but they also dealt one, as they moved lineabcker Mike Vrabel to the Chiefs.

He came to New England from the Steelers as a free agent in 2001, and was a part of three Super Bowl championship teams. He achieved Pro Bowl status in 2007.

Vrabel will bring some solid leadership to the Chiefs defense, and right away will be penciled in as a starter. The 33-year-old was fifth on the Patriots in tackles last season with 67, according to coaches’ calculations, but his sack number dropped to four. He also had an interception.

ESPN’s John Clayton is reporting the Chiefs are giving the Pats an undisclosed draft choice for Vrabel.
