Belichick Says Moss Isn’t Frustrated w/ Lack of Offense or Role
When it comes to Randy Moss being “frustrated”, coach Belichick says there’s nothing to it. There was some discussion that Moss, who had just four grabs for 25 yards Sunday, and has 12 catches for 163 yards and one score in three games, is upset with his role in the offense. The team of course has undergone quite a shift with new QB Matt Cassel, who so far seems to favor Wes Welker as his favorite target.
Belichick said today that he does not feel that Moss is sensing any issues with his role or the offense. “I think Randy is one of our most consistent players,” Belichick said Monday. “I think he’s been like that since he got here last year. On a daily basis, practice, games, preparation, I think he’s one of our most consistent players.” It may just take more time for Moss and Cassel to get on the same page, as the offense has had major issues the last two weeks. The Pats have the bye to work things out, and then play in San Fran on October 5th.

I have a theory that the loss of Tom Brady for the season has permeated through not only the offensive players but also the defensive unit of the Patriots as demonstrated in their loss to the Dolphins. What appears to be a defensive breakdown against the Dolphins really is a human reaction to the offense being one indispensible player short to the extent that it affects the offense and defense players perhaps unintentionally. They play a step slow without realizing it; they think they are giving it their all when in actually they really are not performing at their best.

Are we giving up? Why is Cassel even in the game. We need to get a veteran or start O’Connell. Cassel is a joke and I dont blame Moss for giving up. His QB sucks.
