The injury bug has hit the Pats, as the team today put safety Tank Williams on IR, and signed CB Jeff Shoate.  Williams joined the Pats on March 6th. The 6-2, 223-pound free agent has 59 starts in six seasons for the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings.  The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Shoate has played in 14 NFL games, all with the Denver Broncos, he was their fifth round pick back in 2004, and was released back on December 4th of last year.  He was signed to the Ravens practice squad, and then after that joined the Giants practice squad during their run to the Super Bowl.

If I was Jeff Shoate, I wouldn’t send out my laundry for overnight service, since New England has brought in the recently released DB John Lynch for a visit. This is the second time Lynch has visited NE having been there in 2004 when he chose to join Denver over NE.
