The Patriots signed rookie cornerback Terrence Wheatley to an undisclosed contract on Tuesday.  Wheatley was selected in the second round of this year’s draft.  The 23-year-old started in 28 of 40 career games at Colorado over four seasons, racking up 156 tackles, one-and-a-half sacks, 14 interceptions and 31 passes defended.  He also recorded 1,350 kickoff return yards.  Wheatley posted five picks and 12 passes defended while starting 10 games last season.
