Patriots Dump Andrews One Day After Being Arrested

Cutting their losses before he gets into more trouble, the Pats today dumped CB Willie Andrews, one day after he was arrested for allegedly pointing a handgun at his girlfriend’s head.  The incident occurred about 1 a.m. after he came home and he and the girlfriend had an argument.  Andrews was a backup on the team since being drafted in the last round in the 06 draft.  The charge against Andrews is illegal possession of a large capacity firearm and assault with a dangerous weapon.  He is being held without bail and will have a hearing on Thursday.
