Pats Sign LB T.J. Slaughter

The Pats have made their first offseason move, eight days after their perfect season was dashed in Super Bowl XLII. Today the team announced the signing of LB T.J. Slaughter, who was with the 49ers. The 30-year-old was out of football last year, but played in 2006 putting up 16 total tackles with San Fran. One reason he may have been brought in was that he has experience at inside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. Even with that, he is considered to be a long shot to make the final roster come 2008.
