Despite all of the speculation that’s been running rampant about New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison possibly retiring after the team’s loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII; according to a report by the Boston Herald, Harrison is leaning towards honoring the last year of his current contract.

Harrison told the Herald, “Right now, at this point, I feel like I’m going to honor the last year of my contract.  Everyone’s asking me about retirement.  I don’t know what to say about it.  I haven’t said anything publicly about wanting to retire or anything like that.  I’m very hungry to get back to working out and be a part of this team, and try to win another championship.”  If I read that correctly, it sure sounds like he plans to return in 2008 to me.
