While Randy Moss will be a free agent come March 1, the Boston Herald says that the wide out could get franchised, meaning that he almost for sure will be with the Pats in 2008.  The cost to franchise Moss would be $7.848 million, and then he would then be able to become a free agent in 2009.  Moss wants a long-term deal, and has already stated that he wants to stay in New England, despite the team being upset in Sunday’s Super Bowl by the Giants.  Look for the WR and Pats to talk about him signing at least a 3-4 year deal, but mark it down, however it needs to get done, Moss will be in New England in 2008.
